Stephen's Family Tax Cut (AKA Stephen's Crystal Ball Readings)

Hi There!

Yesterday, the Honorable Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, annonced the Family Tax Cut.

(AKA Stephen's Crystal Ball Readings)

Got this from their web site:

Here for Canada

Conservatives

(News Release)

"... a re-elected Conservative Government will, when the budge is balanced within our next full term of office, introduce the Family Tax Cut to allow income sharing for couples with dependant children under 18 years of age.

By allowing these families to share up to $50,000 of their household income, the Family Tax Cut will provide significant tax relieve for almost 1.8 million families who will save, on average, $1,300 per year."

Here's how "I" read this:

  1. They have to get elected, this time around.

  2. No major Canadian or World calamities or disasters will occur, within the next 4 to 5 years. (NOTE: The Conservatives HAVE to reduce our country's deficit, FIRST). This is where Stephen's crystal ball comes into play.

  3. They get re-elected NEXT time around. Once again, Stephen's crystal ball will come in handy!

I'm sorry, but I don't believe in Crystal Balls.

Number 1 "might" occur.

Number 2... Everyone remember "Murphy's Law"? Unfortunately, disasters and castophies DO occur... Budget monies have to be spent or transferred. You name it - the Conservatives would find ANY excuse to cover their un-balanced budgetary behinds!

And number 3?

And seriously, folks...

How long will the circus be in town, ANYHOW!?!??

I don't know about you but I almost feel like a child being promised a trip to Disneyland IF I behave and IF Dad doesn't loose his job and IF I continue to behave.

BTW, you're free to add as many "IF's" in there, as you wish.

Just another fed-up Canadian, with no political aspirations....

Rosa
